A humanoid robot drove a go-kart to test 'whole-body intelligence'
The push to make humanoid robots genuinely useful took an unusual detour today: a Chinese startup strapped one into a go-kart. Symbiosis Robotics (共生知行) put a bipedal humanoid into a go-kart's driver's seat, and the machine drove a closed-circuit lap — hands on the wheel, feet working the pedals, body braced against the lateral load of a cornering kart. The company says the point was never the racing.
