Corrections Policy
We get things wrong sometimes. What matters is that a correction is fast, visible and specific.
How to report a correction
Email corrections@siliconnoon.com with the article URL, the exact claim, and the evidence that contradicts it — a primary document, the lab's own post, a filing, or a named outlet on the record. Reports with sources are actioned fastest.
What we do
- Fix in place when a fact is wrong: the article is corrected and a dated note is appended at the foot of the piece.
- Clarify when wording implied more than the evidence supports.
- Append when the record moves — if a lab revises a claim after publication, the change is added as a dated note rather than swapped in silently.
What we do not do
- We do not delete a story to make an error disappear, and we do not silently rewrite published text — when a correction changes the substance of a piece, the note says so.
- We do not change a story because someone dislikes it. Corrections are about accuracy, and where a request comes from a company or a subject of the story we say so.
